Juan Carlos Ramirez was born in Colombia in 1968 and now resides in South Florida with his two little girls and his wife. He began painting at an early age. At the age of eighteen he was a part of the Multi National Force Observers (ONU) in Mount Sinai for the United Nations. While in the service of his country he became desperate without a paint brush, and had no way to express himself . Juan used a can of shoe-polish abd a pice of card-board and painted with his fingertips to let his feelings run free. Juan's superiors admired his skill and asked him if he could paint murals. He painted several murals, received special recognition, and his career had begun. Juan Carlos has attended art school, but is essentially self-taught. He has been developing his unique style over the years. To interprete his pieces, One has to be passionate and a great lover of art, to discover his feelings which his artwork represents.
